My travel companion is my husband, Kevin, who also happens to be my best friend. After nearly three decades together, we still enjoy each other’s company above all others.

We are fortunate that we not only get along, but also that we like to visit the same kind of places and have similar activity levels, interests and attention spans. We make a good team!

Kevin retired three years ago, at age 62, after a 35-year career as an administrator of business, finance, and operations in higher education. His goal was to retire early enough to ensure we had time to travel and enjoy life before we settle into our rocking chairs on the porch. Like me, he has a desire to see the world and experience different cultures.

Kevin is the first to admit he doesn’t help with any of the planning and is happy to let me do all the research and “legwork” for our trips. It’s not that he doesn’t care, he just knows I am the organized one who has a passion for planning. He also knows I have a proven track record for choosing the best destinations, accommodations, activities and sights, with just the right mix of history and culture. So I plan, and he shows up and enjoys the fruits of my effort. It works well for us!
